A slight risk for severe storms over a good deal of the area this evening and tonight. Highest time frame of seeing severe storms if they develop would be midnight to 6 a.m. it appears. But evening storms are still a possibility.. Large hail and damaging winds are the biggest threats. Stay tuned! As I write strong storms are ongoing in Kansas and Nebraska with some development in west OK and NW Texas.
The dry line will move eastward and gradually be overtaken by a trailing cold front tonight. As a result thunderstorms are in the forecast with partly cloudy skies and lows will be cooler behind the front than they have been recently as they fall into the 40s and 50s across the region. After an early chance of showers and storms on Sunday morning, skies clear and we have highs in the 70s. A nice week ahead is anticipated behind this system with dry weather and plenty of sunshine. - KRBC Chief Meteorologist Mike Cole
