Hundreds of Potential Buyers Browse Abilene Homes

By: Brendaliss Gonzalez
Updated: April 15, 2012
Some 18 homes were presented and put up for sale during the weekend.

It's all part of the parade of homes put on by the Abilene Home Builders Association.

Representatives say they've seen a 15 percent increase in home sales since last year and are hopeful for the future of the housing market.

Last year all 18 homes presented were sold and representatives say they're hoping for the same turnout this year.

The homes were priced up to $429,000.

Builders say areas such as south Abilene and the outskirts near Buffalo Gap are growing in popularity.

The Parade of Homes will continue next weekend, April 21-22.
