Abilene Man Killed in North Side Collision

An Abilene man was killed in a car accident Sunday night at the intersection of North 10th and Treadaway.

Police report that 53-year-old Lester Ware died while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.

According to the report, 63-year-old William Don Huff was driving a white Mitsubishi Mirage northbound on Treadaway, and as he attempted to turn left onto North 10th, a gray southbound Mercedes ML320 collided with him.

Huff and Ware were transported to Hendrick Trauma Center where Huff is listed in good condition.

The driver of the gray Mercedes, 58-year-old Carolyn S. Aks of Abilene, was uninjured.
