APD Await Toxicology Results, Say Driver in Deadly Crash Was Speeding

Abilene police say while they wait for pending toxicology results, evidence gathered at the scene of Sunday's deadly accident indicates that the driver was speeding.
Sgt. Richy Waggoner said Monday afternoon that while there was a slight detection of alcohol on the Eliseo Garza's breath after the accident, they must wait for toxicology results to determine whether he was intoxicated.
It could be several weeks until the results are returned, Sgt. Waggoner said.
There was an empty beer can found in the car, but no other evidence of alcohol discovered at the scene, according to Sgt. Waggoner.
The Sergeant noted that while no charges have been filed, the driver has been cooperative and answered all the questions asked by the police department.
Police believe a second car was present at the scene, but there is no evidence that any kind of collision occurred between the two vehicles. Sgt. Waggoner says the other vehicle transported five of the six victims to the hospital, and one of the victims to the nearby Allsup's Convenience Store.
The victim who was transported to the hospital via ambulance was 13-year-old Breanna Camacho, who died Monday afternoon from injuries.

Breanna Camacho 13 died because of others being stupid at that age they should have all been home in bed at that hour...
