Abilene's Best Buy Survives Round of Closures

Abilene's Best Buy has survived a round of closures.

The electronics retailer announced last month plans to close 50 stores across the country this year, but only two Texas stores made the list: one in Austin, and one in San Antonio.

Best Buy also announced plans to cut 400 corporate jobs and trim $800 million in costs.

The company is facing declining sales and more competition from online retailers such as amazon.com.
