Abilene police made two arrests this morning thanks to an alert neighbor in north Abilene.

According to police, a man saw four people breaking into his neighbors home in the 1700 block of Westmoreland, when he quickly dialed 911 and gave a good description of the men and the vehicle they were driving.

When police arrived they found that the suspects had kicked in the door to the home and taken some items.

However, police say as they drove away the car they were in started to leak fluid, and they were able to follow the trail of fluid to the car on Mockingbird Lane where they found two 17-year-old suspects walking nearby.

Police took two of the suspects into custody, and are still looking for the others.
