It's one of the biggest events each year for Country music fans in the Lonestar state, and now only one week remains until the the Larry Joe Taylor Music Festival.

This year marks the 24th Annual event, and for Texas Country Legend Larry Joe Taylor, each year just keeps getting better.

"It's all about music, 24 hours a day," says Taylor.

Last year 46,000 people showed up to experience the Texas Country concert, this year, Taylor says he expects over 50,000 to attend.

The festival is a week long event, featuring 50 songwriters from across the Lonestar state, and even a few from Oklahoma. Artists from Randy Rogers, to Josh Abbott and Pat Green will take the stage throughout the week.

"It gets pretty lively," says Taylor, "people get real passionate about Texas Red Dirt Music."

But one of the biggest rewards for Taylor, is watching the musicians themselves gain a little jolt of confidence on stage.

Taylor recalls his experience of watching Randy Rogers, almost a decade ago before his first chart topping single.

"He played first, scared to death, biggest crowd he ever played for in his life," says Taylor, "to see him come back and close the show when it's just a sea of people and have all the confidence in the world, that's what really makes it worthwhile for me."
