3 Eagles Are Headed To Austin In Tennis

The Abilene High tennis team is sending 3 players to the State tennis tournament later this month.
Eagles junior Erin Walker avenged a regional semi-final loss from last year with a straight sets victory in girls singles final. Walker wins the Region I-5A finals match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
The Eagles doubles team of Marlee Cutbirth and Caroline Morris are state bound, as well. The tandem lost in the finals to a team from San Angelo Central on Tuesday up in Lubbock. Cutbirth and Morris go to Austin as the #2 seed from Region I-5A tournament.
The state tournament is April 30th and May 1st in Austin.
