In a large review of more than 200 studies, researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health found a positive psychological well-being appears to reduce the risk of heart attacks. In fact, the risk was halved in the most optimistic people.
It could be that happier people also tend to engage in healthy behaviors like exercise, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and getting a good night's sleep.
