Local Child Care Providers Awarded for Exceeding Standards

Several local child care providers were awarded today for their excellence in exceeding standards set by the State of Texas.

Ten local providers were awarded "Texas Rising Star" status at today's Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas board meeting.

Requirements include exceeding standards in health, safety, group size and activities.

Day Nursery of Abilene, Glo Daycare and Dyess Child Development Center all received the awards.

All ten award recipients will get assistance and mentoring to help them maintain their certification.
