It's only been a handful of days since the Ruff Riders first loss of the season to the Corpus Christi Hammerheads in the Bounty Bowl. But out here at practice, you wouldn't be able to tell. They've put whats happened in the past, in the past, and are now focused on their game ahead on Saturday.

"It was disappointing, but we just took the loss, and its over now. It didn't really mean anything. We had some guys out hurt, so you know, its kind of like they beat up a wounded duck, but once we get everything back clicking and back going we are going to be good."  says Ruff Riders DL/LB Jeremiah Turner.

"We are just really moving forward, and we have a great team, a lot of young guys with a lot of talent and we work hard for what we get out here." says Wide Receiver Johnny Anderson.

"My favorite part of the week after a loss is getting to Monday where you can focus on next week's competition. That's the same with our guys. I talked to a few of them on Sunday, even though it was an exhibition game, they were pretty beaten up a little bit, but now as soon as Monday hit everyone had a fresh new outlook, everyone was ready to go, so I'm happy to see the way they responded so far and we will see how it carries over to Saturday night." Adds Head Coach Joe Brannen.

The Ruff Riders play host to the Amarillo Venom right here at the Taylor County Expo Center on Saturday at 7.
