Abilene Zoo to Celebrate Earth Day on Saturday

Celebrate Earth Day at the Abilene Zoo this Saturday, April 21.

The day will feature earth friendly activities, animal and conservation information, keeper talks and more.

Earth Day activities are free with regular zoo admission and will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

"This is a great opportunity for our guests to see what the Abilene Zoo is doing and what they personally can do to help conserve nature and natural resources," said Zoo Director Bill Gersonde.

The Abilene Zoo is located at 2070 Zoo Lane and open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the front gate closing at 4:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors 60 years of age and older, $2.50 for kids 3 to 12 years of age and children under 3 are free.
