The two women involved in buying and selling a baby in Abilene last year have been indicted on a charge of sale or purchase of a child.

Abilene police arrested the two women for allegedly buying and selling a 7-week-old baby in late September.

Officers arrested 29-year-old Joanna Huerta Delacruz (left) for allegedly selling the baby, and 27-year-old Marilu Munoz (right) for allegedly paying $2,000 to buy the child.

The women were arrested after the officers executed a search warrant last year.
