Heather Snow thought it would never happen to her.

"There was someone in my house and I didn't know who it was," she says.

A woman she didn't know made her way into Snow's residence while she was out Tuesday night. But this wasn't your typical burglary. The intruder stole nothing but a child's jacket and $3, but that's not even the strangest part.

"I walked up to her and she just kept saying over and over that it was okay and that she was me and that she was here because she had nowhere else to go and I have no idea who she was," Snow recalls.

Snow says the woman ransacked her bedroom, smashed a window and busted part of her door paneling. Snow and her husband watched as the female intruder made her way through a door that's attached to their bedroom.

"She definitely wasn't in her right state of mind. She thought she was somebody else. She kept saying she was me over and over and over again. So it was really a freaky experience," Snow says.

Police arrested 26-year-old Lindsay Denison shortly after, and charged her with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony.

Snow is grateful that nobody was home, especially her two little girls.

"With her being out of her mind like that, there's no telling what she would've done to my kids," Snow says.

She counts the experience as something that's made her even more aware of how she should protect her home.
