A cold front will swing through the area later tonight. There will be a slight chance of showers or storms later this evening, tonight and on into Friday. There is a slight risk of severe storms north and east of Abilene tonight for some of the storms to contain large hail and produce damaging winds.

Other than that, skies will be partly cloudy. Lows by morning should be back in the 50s. Highs Friday are expected to be a good deal cooler than today and in the 70s! The weekend looks nice with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s Saturday and the 80s on Sunday. - KRBC Chief Meteorologist Mike Cole
