"Now you have been released from pain and suffering. You have been set free," says the sister of Elexus Flores.

Hundreds of people gathered today to say goodbye to a young girl who touched so many.

Her cousin also took to the podium to say a few words. "The Elexus Flores they knew was a beautiful young lady and a wonderful person."

Flores died last Sunday in a wreck that left one other teen dead and four others seriously injured.

"I believe that the community has suffered a great loss. Especially with the young generation. One of the things that we're always fighting for is for our young generations. To see something like this is real devastating," says Pastor Rolando Figueiras.

So many turned out today to show their support that not everyone could fit inside the church. Most of those in attendance were youth.

"It really brought a lot of sadness to see so many young people hurting."

Hurting, yes, but not defeated. Close friends, family and those who just wanted to show support came to not only honor Flores' death, but to most importantly celebrate her life.

"Nobody can fight for our community the way we do. I believe that if we come together, I do believe with all my heart that we can reach this generation," says Figueiras.

A difficult day for those close to Elexus was also a beautiful time of remembrace for a young woman who, without question, leaves a great impact on those who knew her.
