Brownwood Local Pens Book on Mission Work Experience

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: April 21, 2012
Heather Sanford, author of "How to Love Your Life," is a Brownwood local who has spent the last 15 years in Ireland doing Mission work. Today she was signing copies of her book at Hastings.

The book was inspired by some of the most difficult times Sanford encountered while in Europe, where she learned the importance of loving herself and her life.

Since the book was written during a difficult period of her life, Sanford says it is easy to relate to any transition in one's life.

"It was written during the most difficult time of my life, instead of the easiest time of my life," said Sanford. "So it's really a book on how to make transitions, how to love where you are and how to maximize your moments."

"How to Love Your Life" is on shelves in stores now.
