8th Annual Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit

It's a big weekend for hundreds at a popular restaurant in Buffalo Gap.
Perini Ranch is hosting their 8th Annual Buffalo Gap Wine and Food Summit this weekend. Not only does the event bring people from all across the country, chefs...winemakers...and cheese experts are brought in from around the world to show people how different wines and cheeses can be paired together.
"When you learn that the things that you drink change the flavors and change the profiles of what you're eating, it really changes how you eat" says Lisa Perini, co-owner of Perini Ranch. "So we think that the education component of pairing food with wine is something that's really important and that's what we love sharing with our customers."
Special guest, Laura Werlin, an American cheese expert, presented a special seminar this afternoon specifically on how people's palette pairs wines and cheeses together.
The Buffalo Gap Wine and Food Summit has become a very popular annual event in the Big Country, which is why the Perini's are already planning for next year's event.
