The Abilene Ruff Riders missed a heart breaking extra point as time expired on Saturday night, as they fell to Amarillo 42-41.

So to the Taylor County Expo Center we go...

Right off the bat,  Garrett Robertson going deep downfield. He hits Anthony Clark at the wall for the touchdown. But Riders special teams coming out strong as well. The blocked field goal makes it 6-0 Vemon.

Amarillo back on offense. The QB sneak not working. The ball is stripped by Jeremiah Turner and picked up by Greg Yeldell. Running all the way back to put the Ruff Riders on the board. The extra point is no good so that makes it a tie ball game.

Then right after his TD- Yeldell making the play on defense. Gets the interception to stop the Vemon momentum.

More defensive action from the Ruff Riders. Garrett Robertson get picked off in the Chaz Russell in the end zone to put another damper on the Amarillo's hopes of scoring.

The Ruff Riders are back next week at home against Rio Grande.
