Churches from all over the Key City joined together to celebrate some of West Texas' best gospel music.

The Abilene Black Chamber of Commerce held Sunday's Best Gospel Fest today at the Abilene Civic Center.

The concert featured a variety of gospel choirs and singers from around Abilene as well as a few artists from around West Texas.

Hundreds from all around the Big Country joined in on the music and camaraderie.

"This will probably be the first time in a long time where several churches have come together under one roof to share a common goal and objective which is to share gospel music," said Lisette Spraggins, who helped organize the event.

This is the chambers' first gospel fest and they hope to continue it as an annual event.

It wasn't all just music however, the event ended with a meal at Golden Coral.
