Updated: April 24, 2012
Yesterday morning at approximately 11:00, APD Officers observed a known wanted suspect in the South side of town. Officer Adam Becker was aided by City Marshall Tristan Parnell and they and other officers converged to the area. The male suspect ran for a short distance when he saw police cars but was arrested shortly thereafter near an alley in the 5100 block of Laguna Drive. The male suspect was wanted on several felony bond warrants for the following charges: possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, theft of a firearm, and deadly conduct.

Last night at approximately 8:35, Officer Brian Poynor was dispatched to a shoplifter call at a business in the 4700 block of Southwest Drive. His investigation revealed that a female suspect had concealed several items of jewelry after removing and discarding the tags from the jewelry. The suspect then went to the register and only paid for some clothing items. The suspect left the store without paying for the jewelry and was contacted by a loss prevention employee. Approximately $164 dollars in jewelry was recovered. The suspect was arrested for removal of writing and theft.

Last night at approximately 9:45, Officer Kimberly Scalf responded to a disturbance call in the 1500 block of Portland Avenue. APD was advised that a female suspect was highly intoxicated and had passed out, and then attempted to enter a neighbor's home. During this investigation, the female suspect came out of her residence and began yelling disparaging and lewd remarks in the presence of other adults and children. The suspect was also intoxicated. She was arrested for disorderly conduct.
