Eastland to Reinstate Burn Ban April 30

Eastland County Commissioners voted to put a burn ban back into effect beginning next Monday, April 30.

The commissioners felt that with the combination of high winds and lack of rain, the burn ban was necessary.

A decision to wait until next Monday to make it effective was to allow anyone who already had plans to burn have the time to get that done.

Please do not burn if the wind speed is above 15 mph.

This order gives Judge Fields the authority to lift the burn ban before the next meeting should conditions change.
