Wylie is in a position to dominate the class 3A individual state tournament. Head Coach Katheryn Gilreath is sending 10 of her bulldogs down to Austin to play for the championship.
The Bulldogs are sending two entries in boys doubles and one each in boys singles, girls singles, girls doubles, and mixed doubles and Bulldog players like Miller Davis know that speaks well for the program.
"It says something about Wylie," he said, "Just how hard we work at practice and stuff and it just carries out, and it shows because we're all going to state."
Fellow Bulldog Rayce Roberson knows that this kind of success doesn't just happen overnight.
"It says a lot," he said "We have a lot of good people here, that really work hard as a team, and also individually, and that's whey we're so successful."
And now that they have made it to the State tournament Head Coach Kathryn Gilreath says the Bulldogs are not satisfied just getting to the State Tournament.
"Starting the year back in August/ September, that was one of our goals this year to try to get someone from every single division through to Austin," she said. "Now obviously our goal is to get down there and try to win every division."
