Brownwood Residents Locked Up for MDA

By: Adam Singleton
Updated: April 25, 2012
Several notable Brownwood residents are in the big house after a large bust this morning. The charge: having a big heart!

The Muscular Dystrophy Association held a lockup at the Adam's Street Community Center in Brownwood. Folks came in to be issued a warrant, then raised donations for MDA to bond out.

The fundraiser goes to help area families affected by muscular dystrophy.

"We cover 36 counties in Texas and all of the money that we raise at our fundraisers like this one does stay local to help families that we serve," says Daniel York, MDA Executive Director.

Jailbirds at this morning's lockup were given the goal to raise at least $800 each.
