3 Men Zip Tie Victims in Their Home Before Robbing Them

Abilene police are looking into a robbery at a home in south Abilene where three men dressed in camouflage reportedly restrained victims with zip ties then robbed them.

In November of last year at the Enchilada Express on Leggett was robbed when two men dressed in camo covered their faces and and tied an employee with zip ties before robbing the business.

That's what one man who lives in a home on the 1500 block of Matador says happened to him and his four roommates at about 4 in the morning.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, says three men dressed in camo and equipped with an assault riffle tied them up with zip ties and took their wallets, cash, phones and a guitar before leaving out of the back door.

Surveillance video from a nearby business shows a suspicious car driving by the house several times.

A car drives into frame on the surveillance video, then turns into a nearby alley and shuts off its lights at around 3:30 a.m., just 30 minutes before the robbery occurred.

Police are not currently saying much about the case, but they are saying the general public should not be worried.

They are also not making the connection between last year's robbery and this one, but they are looking into it.
