Ruff Riders Ready To Move Forward After First Conference Loss

By: David Robinett & Alyssa Orange
Updated: April 25, 2012
The Abilene Ruff Riders are trying to get things headed back in the right direction after a heartbreaking 1 point loss to Amarillo on Saturday night. Losing a game in the regular season is never an easy thing to swallow, but a 1-point loss because of a missed extra point is even harder. With that said, the players say they are ready to move on to the next game.

"When you suffer a loss, you want to get it out of your head as fast as possible, you don't want to dwell on it because i can cloud your thinking as far as preparation for the next game." Says Josh Adkinson.

"Each week our goal has to be to be 1-0," adds Chuck Palonis, "You know, we talk about a championship, everyone wants that in the end, but each week we have to be 1-0. When we lost, we lost, that's in the past and all we can do is continue to get better and move forward."

The Ruff Riders are back in action on Saturday at home. They host the Rio Grande Valley Magic at 7:30 at the Taylor County Coliseum.
