Jennifer Jones has a unique career, but it didn't start out that way.

"I was an art major at Hardin-Simmons," says Jones.

Then she got married, had kids, and suddenly God began to grow  her in a place of prayer and intercession.

"All of a sudden the Lord just began to stir my heart to get back into art again and I was scared to because it had been so long since I had done anything creative," says Jones.

Nevertheless, she listened to what he had to say.

"What he gently spoke to my heart about was Jennifer what I want you to begin to paint like you pray," says Jones.

It would be a huge step, but she knew she had no other choice than to be obedient, so she picked up her paint brush and got to work.

It didn't take long for Jennifer to know  this is what she was called to do.

"I was addicted. It was like once I finished that piece it was like okay God what are we going to do next? What's the next one? And he just gradually began showing me different pieces and I would just obediently start painting," she says.

As a prophetic artist Jennifer loves what she does and wouldn't have it any other way.

"Prophecy can be kind of a scary word to some people because it sounds like big and religious but it's really just hearing what the lord is saying and then doing what he asks you to do," says Jones.
