Snyder Chamber to Host Candidate Forum Tonight

The Snyder Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum Thursday night at College on the Square.

Candidates may still sign up to participate in the forum by calling the chamber office at 573-3558.

The 5:30 p.m. forum will include a time for candidates to introduce themselves as well as answer prepared questions.

Also, written questions may be submitted by the public prior to the forum at the chamber office as well as before the event begins.

The four candidates for Scurry County Sheriff have all confirmed they will attend the event. The candidates are Luis Aguilar, Kyle Burleson, Drew Price and Trey Wilson. Pct. 3 County Commissioner Howard Limmer and one of his challengers, Royce Summers, will also participate.

Alberto Hernandez, who is running for Pct. 1 County Commissioner, will be part of the forum as will State Rep. Charles Perry.

Melissa Elam, the chamber's executive director, said all candidates have been invited to attend the event.
