The Ruff Riders got a taste of adversity this past Saturday in their one point loss against the Amarillo Vemon. But if nothing else, it taught this team a valuable lesson about themselves.

"It showed that we can always fight back and thats one thing you want to know about a team especially when we are down or we are losing. Some people when they face adversity, they show true character on that, and there could have been a time when, on the fumble on the kick off return, we could have cashed it in right there. But as a team we face adversity well." Says Ruff Rider Chuck Palonis.

" We fought, we had a pretty good lead at time, we kind of squandered that away but we never gave up. Three second left in the game shows you anything can happen in this football game. Three seconds to go we hit a 20 yard touchdown pass but then came up on the wrong end of the P.A.T. So we have been focusing more on stuff that happened prior to that kick." adds Head Coach Joe Brannen.

Now the real test will be this upcoming weekend when the Ruff Riders are back at home against the Rio Grande Valley Magic for their 3rd conference game of the year.
