Witten, Shipley and Snow Join D1 Abilene Ownership Group

Abilene, TX. (April. 26, 2012) - D1 Sports Training has added Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, former Texas Longhorn and Bengals receiver Jordan Shipley and Abilene native and Colts long snapper Justin Snow as co-owners to the new D1 Sports Training facility in Abilene. On June 4th, 2012, D1 will open its 15th facility and first in Texas in Abilene. 
 
The D1 facility, which is located in the Munton Sports Complex, features a 15,000+ square-foot training space and an additional 10,000 square feet for D1 Sports Medicine partner Texas Sport & Spine. D1 Abilene will have an indoor turf field and first-class weight room combined with a state-of-the-art sports medicine and therapy clinic geared toward athletes and athletic type injuries run by Texas Sport & Spine.
 
The facility will be located at 4351 Ridgemont Drive, Abilene, TX, which is formerly the Circuit City building. In addition to Witten, Shipley and Snow, the Abilene D1 Training facility will be co-owned by a group of local investors and sports enthusiasts led by Dr. Dan Munton of Texas Sport & Spine.
 
Witten and Shipley both have past connections to D1. Shipley trained at D1 Nashville four months prior to the 2010 NFL Draft while Witten has trained at D1 Nashville and played at Tennessee with D1 CEO Will Bartholomew.
 
D1 has opened facilities in 14 other locations with athlete and therapy partners. The athlete co-owners in other facilities feature names such as Peyton Manning, A.J. Hawk, Philip Rivers, Herschel Walker, Heather Mitts and Tim Tebow.
 
D1 specializes in making athletes FASTER, STRONGER, MORE AGILE, and EXPLOSIVE, while also BUILDING CHARACTER. D1's adult programs are suitable for any gender and fitness level; whether you are looking for weight loss, general health, strength, or endurance, D1's programs deliver RESULTS!

Other amenities within the facility will include a Dox and Jox Radio show studio, Fitness Store, Rock Climbing Walls, along with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Abilene Youth Sports Authority offices.
