Updated: April 26, 2012
The two men who were hospitalized after inhaling carbon monoxide in a well Thursday have died.

Fisher County Sheriff J.A. Robinson confirms that Jeremy Claxton and Nick Walker died Thursday afternoon. Robinson says he two were extracting water from the bottom of a 30-foot well.  The young men were using a gasoline-powered pump to get the water and apparently were overcome by carbon monoxide released from the pump.

The ranch owner found the two men.  It is unknown how long they were in there or if they were still conscious at the time.
