An Abilene man is injured after falling through his roof.

According to the man's wife, he was checking out the hot water heater with a plumber when he crashed through the roof.

"I heard a noise. I had decided to take a nap and I heard this horrible noise. I knew something bad had happened. I'm a little rattled but I'm worried about that and my air conditioning because there's a hole in the roof," says the man's wife, Shyla Mayfield.

The man was taken to Hendrick Medical Center.

His condition hasn't been released.
