Our high today of 96 tied the record here in Abilene.  The record to date of 96 was set back in 1984. Clouds have moved into the forecast area this afternoon in advance of a disturbance out west of Texas. Look for mostly cloudy skies becoming partly cloudy. Lows will be warm and near 70.

Friday will be hot again with highs in the 90s under mainly sunny skies. Some relief from the heat will be felt here by Sunday when highs will only get to around 80 degrees it looks like at this point in time. There will also be a slight chance of rain on Sunday as well. Slight rain chances extend into next week with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s.
