A burglary suspect was arrested after a chase in south Abilene early Friday morning.

Police chased down 35-year-old Clifton Peterson in the 1300 block of Sycamore after being called to the area to investigate a report of a burglary at a nearby storage building at about 12:30 this morning.

Officers say they found two men matching descriptions provided by witnesses who fled upon being told to stop.

A K-9 helped capture Peterson, who was arrested on felony charges of evading arrest due to prior convictions on the same charge.

Peterson could face more charges, as the burglary is still under investigation.
