Over 100 Scurry Co. Voter Registration Cards Deemed Undeliverable

Although voter registration cards began hitting Scurry
County mailboxes earlier this month, more than 100 have been
returned to the Scurry County Clerk's office as undeliverable.
One of the primary reasons the cards are coming back is that the voter's mailing address is a post office box. However, the address on the voter registration card is a residence without a receptacle. Another reason is that the voter has moved.
The final day to register for the upcoming primary elections -- as well as change the address on a current voter registration card -- is Monday.
Even if the address is incorrect on the voter registration card, voters may still vote. However, they will have to vote in the precinct in which the registration card shows they live.
To check on the status of a missing voter registration card, or to change the address of a registered voter, contact the Scurry County Clerk's office at 573-5332 or visit the clerk's office on the third floor of the courthouse.
