Man Reaches Plea Deal For Identity Theft and Theft of a Home

By: Bob Bartlett
Updated: April 27, 2012
A plea deal was reached today in the case of the man charged with identity theft and theft of a home last July.

Cody Wayne Cash pled guilty to identity theft in a Taylor County courtroom this afternoon. Cash will return to a Callahan County courtroom in May for the actual home burglary in Clyde.

He will likely be sentenced to 8 years in prison for both crimes.

Cash was charged with the theft when he stole items and information belonging to a Clyde mother who's teenage son had recently died. Cash apparently knew the family and their situation.

Authorities say he stole from the mother while she was away grieving the death of her son.

Where was the mom when the boy was playing in the street? Did anyone mention that she didn't have custody of the son because of her drug problems? Did anyone make mention of how she and the alleged burglar knew eachother? The answer to all the above is [censored] her kids were taken away from her because of her [censored] problem, she knew the alleged burglar from common [censored] friends...not taking away her right to grieve but taking away the poor grieving mother sympathy card being the poor poor mom couldn't even pull herself together to be a mom.....that my friends is the REST of the STORY maybe authorities don't mention the other side of things simply because the alleged man has ex in laws in the police department...???
