Sports Celebrity Mom Visits Big Country

The mom of a national sports celebrity was right here in the Big Country today.

Pam Tebow, the New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow's mom was at the Beltway Park Baptist Church today sharing her knowledge with a group of women at  a conference.

The conference, compassion in action featured lessons on how women can be active in their local communities.  Church members say they see Tebow as an example of a woman of positive influence. 

"I think she serves a lot of inspiration shes very positive shes also willing to serve its not just all about her but she wants to serve outside her family and also has taught her family to do the same thing," said Deanna Fields, the Women's Ministry pastor. 

Pam Tebow asked specifically not to be filmed or interviewed for security reasons. 

Along with the lessons, the women packed up bags of groceries and school supplies to donate to a local charity.

They packed up some two hundred backpacks donated by wrangler for area foster and adoptive children.
