Health Fair Makes Free Immunizations More Enjoyable

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: April 28, 2012
Texas Child Care offered free immunizations at their health and safety fair this afternoon.

The fair was to make getting the shots a little more enjoyable with horse back riding and games, but the whole point was to help get kids up to date on their shots. Many youth that used to qualify for free and reduced immunizations are no longer eligible due to state budget cuts.

"The state has had to cut back on budget things and for this reason, more people are without shots," said Dr. Vince Pristner. "It's becoming a significant problem that we're trying to help."
