Funeral Services Set for Fisher County Well Victims

Funeral services for the two young men killed in a tragic well accident in Fisher County have been set.

Jeremy Claxton, 19, will be buried at Newman Cemetery on Monday, April 30, following the 2 p.m. funeral at First Baptist Church of Roby. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin. Claxton's obituary may be viewed here.

The funeral for Nicholas (Nick) Walker, also 19, will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Sweetwater. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home in Sweetwater. Walker's obituary may be viewed here.

Both men died Thursday after authorities say they were overcome by toxic fumes while working in a 30-foot-deep well in rural Fisher County.
