CLINTON, Miss. -- Both
Hardin-Simmons' track teams placed third at the American Southwest
Conference Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Clinton, Miss.
Brendon
Kelso won his second career ASC javelin title with a throw of 171-9.
Jayci Shelton won both women's hurdle events running a 14.97 in the 100
hurdles and 1:05.08
in the 400 hurdles. Giving HSU three gold medal winners.
Texas Lutheran won the women's meet with a score of 258. McMurry was second with a 246.5 and HSU had 108.5 points.
McMurry won the men's title with 330 points. Texas-Tyler was second with 168 points and HSU was third with 84 points.
Aaron
Livingson placed fourth in the 100 with a 12.21 and was also fourth in
the 200 with a 25.19. Kaitlin Roberts was fifth in the 400 with a 59.65.
Roberts was seventh
in the 800 with a 2:31.62.
Julia Holub was sixth in the 1500 with a 5:12.39 and second in the 500 with a 20:00.43.
Halee Edwards was seventh in the 100 hurdles with a 16.58 and was second with a 1:06.16 in the 400 hurdles.

Kaplinski placed fourth in the 400 with a time of 50.71. Derek Footer
was second in the 110 hurdles with a 14.94 and Sam Green placed third
with a 16.01. Footer
finished fourth in the 400 hurdles with a 56.70. Green was eighth with a
1:07.39.
The women's 4x100 team finished fourth with a 49.27 and the 4x400 team was second with a 4:06.76.
The men's 4x100 was fifth with a 43.60. The 4x400 team was third with a 3:25.64.
Kami Bellah was fifth in the triple jump with a 38 foot effort. Green placed eighth in the triple jump with a 43-5.
Shannon Shipp was seventh with a 111-04 toss in the discus.
Justin Gray was third in the discus with a 142-8. Kelso was sixth with a 134-10.
Nicole Campbell was second in the javelin with a 112-4. Rebecca Loney was fifth with a 107-3.
Bryce Bevill was eighth in the javelin with a 146-1.
