A man was arrested on felony charges of tampering with evidence after a chase in north Abilene.

Police allege that 24-year-old Freddie Acosta refused to stop for a traffic violation then sped away through a residential area.

The officer did not chase him, but found him later on North 20th, where they reportedly found marijuana in the car, and also nearby that he allegedly tossed out of the car.

Acosta is charged with possession of marijuana and felony tampering with evidence.
