The Bulldogs won state championships in boys and girls singles, boys doubles, and mixed doubles. They lost in the girls doubles finals.
The doubles team of Bryson Fowkles and Collin Bumann are doubles state champions for the 3rd year in a row. The tandem rolled to the title with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Rayce Roberson made it a sweep for the Wylie boys. Roberson lost the 1st set in his championship match with a player from Lucas Lovejoy, but he rebounded to win the second set in a tiebreaker, 7-6. He then cruised to the title with a 6-1 win in the 3rd set.
Delaney Schroeder won the girls singles championship, and was the most dominant of all the Wylie players. She won her championship match, 6-1, 6-1. In 3 matches, Schroeder lost just 4 games.
The mixed doubles tandem of Miller Davis and Amanda Potts are state champions, too. Davis and Miller won the 1st set, 7-5, and then they closed it out, 6-Love in the 2nd set.
The championship match in girls doubles was the only one that didn't go Wylie's way. Shelby Corn and Whitney Frazier lost the 1st set, came back to even things at a set a piece with a 6-3 victory, but lost the match to a team from Argyle in the 3rd set. 6-4.
