Dog lovers get ready 2012 Abilene Kennel Club Dog Show is taking over the Taylor Country Expo Center this May to find the best dog in show from across the Big Country.

This year is the first time for the Dog Show to be held in the month of May and stretch across three days of fun. When it comes to the competition, each dog will be judged only according to it's own breed.

"They're not judged against one another," explains Pat Brannan from the Abilene Kennel Club, "they're judged against a perfect standard for that breed of dog."

Judges will test each dog's agility, obedience, and overall performance.

Head to the Taylor County Expo Center Friday, May 18th through Sunday, May 20th to catch these guys in action. It's free to attend so you can take the whole family. Also they will be selling tickets all day for a raffle and the prizes are human and canine friendly.
