The Taylor County Sheriff's Office is putting more officers on patrol, but not increasing its staff.
Instead, the department is dissolving its warrants division and placing those officers on patrol.
Warrants will still be issued everyday, but by deputies not working calls.
The department also plans to send out a dedicated warrant group one day per week.
The goal is to increase productivity and response time.
