Lake Brownwood State Park Set for Open House this Weekend

The Lake Brownwood State Park will be the place to be this weekend for family outdoor fun as they host their 16th annual open house.

Friday, May 4 will be youth outdoor day from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 5 will be family day with facilities open for viewing from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Activities will include the catch and release fish tank for school-age children, "operation game thief" trailer, the buffalo soldier program, and an interpretative program on identification of venomous snakes.

No fishing license required inside the state park.
