Faulty Wiring Starts House Fire

The Abilene Fire Department responded to a call of smoke coming from a home in the 3300 block of South Sixth early this morning.

Crews arrived at the scene just after 6:00 a.m. and quickly got the fire under control.

An investigation determined that faulty wiring inside the wall that caught fire was to blame for igniting the flames.

There were no injuries reported.
