The Abilene Zoo Brings A Reptile Friend

Alligators can grow to be one thousand pounds and over fourteen and a half feet long.

Joy Harsh with the Abilene Zoo brought in one of the smallest Alligators in Abilene, Anastasia. "At this age she still can bite and her teeth are like little needles."

Harsh Adds, "They grow about a foot a year and the its about a foot every five years or so."

You can see all the alligators on Zoo Lane at the Abilene Zoo. Tickets range from $2.50 to $5.00 and children undre three are free.
