In the third week of the season, the ruff riders hit the road and headed to Snyder for the bounty bowl. But that game was still considered a home game as they were in front of a predominately home crowd. This week the ruff riders get the first taste of a road trip as they hit the road and head south to take on a Houston team that sits 3-0 on the season.

"We started preaching Sunday during film to those guys that there are a lot of things we cant control and to just focus on controlling the things we can which is what happens after the kick off and we've touched on that all week. We touched on it yesterday, again today before we started and we will touch on it again some more this week. You never know, especially with the young group of guys we have, how they will respond to the adversity of being on the road." says Joe Brannen, Ruff Riders Head Coach.

"It's always a challenge going on the road, but I feel like this team is built to handle adversity and this is another opportunity to be able to prove that." adds Le'Juan Edwards.

"In the end its our 8 guys versus their 8 guys. There is going to be some adversity with traveling and stuff, but in the end we have to show up at game time and play. I think with this team we have a really good shot and maybe sneak up on them. They may be in their home stands, but  we are a good team and we will show them what we've got.
" adds David Coffey.

Now this is the first of three back-to-back road games for the Ruff Riders face until they are back at home in May 28th.
