Imagine being able to track GPS location of a lost pet.

Pet owners can now find their best friend with the help of the Garmin GTU 10 tracker, which At&T offers customers.

The small, waterproof device fits in a small pouch that can be clipped onto a pet's collar.

GPS system information lets pet owners track their pets anywhere in the world.

Their positions can be viewed on a smartphone and over the Internet.

Pet owners can even put up boundaries and sign up for email or text alerts when the pets leave a designated area.

"So if your dog was able to get out of your yard, you would be noticed via text messages that your dog exited this area," said John Young of AT&T.

The tracker costs about $149, including free tracking for a year.
