The Abilene High Eagles enter the 2012 Class 5A playoffs riding a 5-game winning streak.

The bi-district round of the postseason starts with game 1 on Friday afternoon at Blackburn Field. Games 2 and 3 are in Arlington, but coach Scottie Sanchez says starting at home is a good thing.

Sanchez says, "We feel like it is. You know, it's an opportunity to go into that series and get the 1st one at home. If we can get that 1st one, then we go into that 2nd day, regardless of where it might be, you that's huge."  He added,"We can jump out, especially if it's a 2-out-of-3, and you've got that first one behind you, and an opportunity to do it at home in front of our hometown crowd and give some people an opportunity to watch us play."

The Eagles and Arlington Lamar play game 1 on Friday at 4:30pm. Game 2 is Saturday at 1 at Lamar High School in Arlington.
